Are you ready to fire up the blowtorch and make something seriously cool?!

In this hands-on Burn & Spit workshop, we’re combining fire, color, and a little creative adventure to turn a simple pine wood round into a gorgeous, one-of-a-kind piece you’ll actually use!

You’ll start by using a blowtorch to burn and bring out the natural grain and character of the wood—and don’t worry if the idea of wielding a torch makes you a little nervous. I’ll be right there to guide you, and if you decide fire just isn’t your thing, I’ll happily do the burning for you!

Then comes the color! We’ll use Unicorn Spit, a highly concentrated, water-based stain and glaze that creates beautiful, vibrant color while still allowing all that gorgeous burned wood grain to show through. You can blend colors, layer them, dilute them, and mix your own shades until you get exactly the look you want.

Your finished piece can become a custom Lazy Susan, perfect for your dining table, kitchen island, or entertaining. Or, if you’d rather turn your creation into a one-of-a-kind end table, you can do that too! Table legs are easy to purchase later, so you can choose the style and height that work perfectly in your home.
